Paula Binner, LCSW Clinical Social Work Consultant with Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program provided the link to the powerful presentation about a worldwide project on cause of death to women. The project website has a short quiz about violence against women and it contains other important information that maybe of interest to you.

Below is a short description of the project:

Cause of Death: Woman, Launch of a Journalistic Report on Violence Against Women in 10 Different Countries

Our innovative project gave voice to murdered women through photographic stories. Through the eyes of ten who died because they were women, we demonstrate different expressions of gender-based violence around the world. Our journey took us to ten countries exploring reasons behind violence, effects on health, economic consequences, successful anti-violence projects, and police and judicial system responses.

Learning Objectives: (1) Be able to access and use free miniature exhibitions of this project to bring voice to survivors and awareness to gender-based violence. (2) Gain a wider perspective on the topic of violence against women, as well as additional support in addressing violence in their own countries
